Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

General

Setting up Shhured is simple:
  1. Download the app: Install Shhured for free from the Google Play Store.
  2. Grant permissions: When you first open the app, grant the required permissions so it can intercept and filter calls on your device.
  3. IMPORTANT - Set up your Whitelist: The filter activates as soon as permissions are granted. If you don't immediately add your frequent contacts or your entire contact list to the Whitelist, the app will block ALL incoming calls. Be sure to import or add your trusted numbers right after installation!
  4. Customize: Explore the settings to enable outgoing call blocking or prefix filters.

The Whitelist is a zero-tolerance list: you define your trusted numbers (e.g., your contact list) and automatically block the rest of the world. Prefix Filtering, on the other hand, allows for strategic management: you can choose to block or allow all numbers starting with specific prefixes in bulk (e.g., international codes of countries at risk of scams), overriding the whitelist rules.

Absolutely not. Shhured is optimized for maximum energy efficiency. The app does not run constantly in the background or consume system resources; it is triggered for just a fraction of a second at the exact moment you receive a call, applies the local filter, and immediately shuts down.

No, Shhured works 100% offline. Once installed, the app does not require any internet connection to filter calls, manage the whitelist, or display statistics. This ensures the blocking feature works even while traveling, in tunnels, or wherever there is no data coverage.

Privacy and Security

None. Our policy is one of total transparency: we do not collect, log, or store any sensitive data. Your contacts, blocked call history, and preferences remain exclusively within your device's local storage.

No. No registration, no email, and no account are required. You download the app and you are ready to go, maintaining total anonymity.

Support and Troubleshooting

Shhured can be installed on devices running Android 7 or higher. However, Google's security policies only allow native filtering and hardware-level call blocking starting from Android 10 or higher. Please check your operating system version in your phone settings.

If you notice that some unwanted calls are still getting through, follow these checks:
  • Check Android: Make sure your phone is updated to Android 10 or higher.
  • Check app settings: Open Shhured and verify that the call filter is active and correctly configured according to your preferences (whitelist or prefix filter).
  • Force close the app: Force close the app completely from your settings and reopen it. This can resolve temporary issues.
  • Restart your phone: Restarting the device can often resolve operating system anomalies that might interfere with the app's operation.
  • Verify permissions: Ensure that Shhured has all the necessary permissions for call management in your phone's settings (usually under 'Apps' or 'Application Manager').
  • Update the app: Check if a newer version of Shhured is available on the Google Play Store and update it to include the latest fixes.
  • Contact us: If the problem persists, send the details of your phone model to shhured.info@gmail.com, and we will help you configure it optimally.
